Pedro’s Castle offers a glimpse in to life on the island back in the 18th century. This lovely site is a great place to learn about Cayman’s history as the house is home to many of Cayman’s historical moments. One such event is the formation of the first elected parliament as well as the proclamation of the abolishment of slavery.
Here you can venture to the coastline where you’ll find a large pool, which was the original quarry site for the stones belonging to the house. It almost acts as a natural swimming pool filled from the waves smashing over the iron shore. This is a great little adventure for the kids and a great way to cool down if you’re feeling hot!
